In this post, we’ll talk about the system of rewarding players with tokens in our new Royal Crypto Soul game. This project is very different from Merge Cats, as its main task is to create a competitive platform for users, where they can show their skills and receive valuable rewards for this.
Experience with Merge Cats
Casual games themselves do not imply much competition between the players, but even in Merge Cats we managed to create a competition in the form of a leaderboard table.
The users liked the mechanics and we understand that our players like to compete. In the new game, we will try to create even more motivation for this.
Merge Cats has daily tasks that allow users to receive tokens every day. A wheel of fortune that you can spin once a day for free and get SOUL with little chance.
Weekly tournaments in which you get tokens if you win prizes and in-game purchases. These are all ways to get tokens inside the game.
Based on our experience, handing out tokens daily and to everyone, given bonuses for beginners, there is not much value for each player separately.
In our game, it’s not possible to fully earn without investing in tokens, there are many players and we are forced to spray SOUL equally for everyone. We often see reviews asking to increase the reward in tokens, unfortunately, we can not do this, as this will cause inflation and a fall in the price of SOUL.
We are faced with the task of effectively distributing SOUL among players so that the best receive a more substantial reward.
How do we see the new system?
We will refuse from the daily distribution of tokens. In the new game, users will be able to receive SOUL according to the results of the season for the received rank. At the end of each season, your rank will fall several positions down and you will have to raise it again and break through the top of the list.
The reward for each player will depend, among other things, on the prize fund that we collect for the season (this fund will include the percentage spent in the SOUL game).
Additional rewards in the form of SOUL will be received by the best players who will take prizes in the rating system.
At Royal Crypto Soul, we want the reward to depend on your skills in the game and on your participation in the life of the project (events, etc.).
Such a system, in our opinion, will create a spirit of rivalry in the game and help us maintain a stable SOUL economy.

Of course, we will test various rewarding formats and arrive at an optimal solution in which players will be satisfied, and SOUL will be in demand and grow in price accordingly.
